Remote Assistant to Creative Director

Role Description
Sheila Bridges Home, Inc. is looking for an assistant to support the principal designer/creative director. In addition to at least three years of administrative experience, the ideal candidate should be discrete and have an interest in interior design, product design, and/or marketing. This role is fully remote and involves heavy calendaring, travel booking and extensive correspondence with vendors and customers via email, phone and Zoom. Please note, this is not an interior design position.

Responsibilities
This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Serving as a gatekeeper for the principal. From RSVP requests and customer queries to speaking with prospective licensing partners, you will need to be able to respond on behalf of the principal in a clear and timely manner, and flag any urgent messages that require her attention. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Booking travel and heavy scheduling. The principal travels frequently and often attends trade shows and/or has speaking engagements across the US and abroad, so candidates must be comfortable working and scheduling across multiple time zones.
  • Customer interface which includes storing, mailing and logging product sample orders, as well as answering questions regarding our products or services.
  • Technical proficiency and social media savvy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, GoogleDocs, Dropbox, Instagram and Mac OS X/iOS are required. However, knowledge and skills with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Web design and/or TikTok are also very helpful.
  • Project management. This includes doing initial product/brand research, conducting introductory meetings with potential licensing partners, requesting samples, tracking production and launch dates.
  • Tracking press, downloading tear sheets and adding links to any new articles or posts to the website and principal’s LinkTree.
  • Ad hoc tasks, such as creating presentations and mood boards, purchasing office supplies, online store returns, making shipping labels, creating product mockups, retouching photos, doing project research, etc. These tasks will likely vary depending on the individual’s skillset, and whether or not they are based in NYC.

This role is fully remote and can be done anywhere, however candidates who live in the EST zone are especially encouraged to apply. All candidates will need to provide two professional references, and will be expected to sign an NDA.

Senior Designer/Design Project Manager

Role Description
Sheila Bridges Design, Inc is looking for an experienced interior design professional ( at least 8-10 years) to join our remote team to work alongside the principal and creative director, Sheila Bridges. Candidate must have strong technical knowledge in addition to professional experience managing all phases of high-end residential design projects.

Qualifications:

  • A professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite and other industry standard programs.
  • Several years of construction administration and design project management experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a working interior designer in the NYC /tristate area.
  • Strong professional relationships in the trade and with vendors/dealers.
  • Knowledge of diverse furniture styles and understanding of the residential design process.
  • Must be a strong communicator, highly organized and extremely self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and creative problem solving ability.
  • Ability to manage small or large scale design projects from concept through construction and meet corresponding project/ client deadlines.
  • Must have professional integrity and be trustworthy.
  • Detail oriented, focused and be highly collaborative.
  • Strong presentation and problem solving skills.
