$300.00 per roll
It has been more than twenty years since I was first introduced to New York's Hudson River Valley. I became a homeowner there after being seduced by its natural beauty, architectural vernacular and spectacular landscapes. I designed HUDSON VALLEY TOILE for reasons not dissimilar to those that inspired my Harlem Toile De Jouy: as a way of sharing personal stories and visual tropes, poking fun and raising questions. Each of the six vignettes in my wallpaper, which is hand-printed in the Hudson Valley, lampoons one of the positively quirky, sometimes challenging, yet ever-changing points of view deeply woven into the curious culture and unique environment that has shaped my experience in the historic Hudson River Valley. I am honored to have this wallpaper design in The Brooklyn Museum's wallpaper collection.
